Know Your Skin

Everyone’s skin is different. Learn how to understand yours.

Oily Skin

Shine appears quickly, especially through the middle of the face.

What it looks like

Skin often looks glossy a few hours after cleansing, pores can appear more visible, and makeup may slide or fade faster than expected.

Common concerns

Helpful everyday habits

✓  Cleanse gently twice a day with a mild, non-stripping cleanser

✓  Use a lightweight gel or lotion moisturiser — oily skin still needs hydration

✓  Choose non-comedogenic, fluid sunscreens for daily use

✓  Blot excess oil instead of over-washing

Things to avoid

❌ Harsh scrubbing

❌  Skipping moisturiser

❌ Very drying alcohol-heavy toners

❌ Washing more than twice daily

Dry Skin

Feels tight, rough or flaky, particularly after cleansing.

What it looks like

The forehead, nose and chin can look shiny while cheeks feel comfortable or slightly dry — needs differ across the face.

Common concerns

Helpful everyday habits

✓  Use a cream or milk cleanser and lukewarm water

✓  Apply moisturiser while skin is still slightly damp

✓  Look for humectants and emollients such as glycerin and ceramides

✓  Consider a humidifier in dry indoor air

Things to avoid

❌  Very hot water

❌  Foaming cleansers that leave skin squeaky

❌  Frequent exfoliation

❌  Layering too many actives at once

Combination Skin

Oilier through the T-zone, normal or dry on the cheeks

What it looks like

The forehead, nose and chin can look shiny while cheeks feel comfortable or slightly dry — needs differ across the face.

Common concerns

Helpful everyday habits

✓  Use one gentle cleanser for the whole face

✓  Try zone-based care: lighter textures in the T-zone, richer on cheeks

✓  Introduce one product at a time so you can see what helps

✓  Keep sunscreen consistent across the whole face

Things to avoid

❌  Treating the whole face as oily

❌  Over-exfoliating drier areas

❌ Heavy occlusive layers on the T-zone

Sensitive Skin

Reacts easily with redness, stinging or warmth.

What it looks like

Skin may flush after new products, temperature changes or fragrance, and can feel warm or itchy for a while afterwards.

Common concerns

Helpful everyday habits

✓  Keep routines short and simple

✓  Patch test new products on a small area first

✓  Favour fragrance-free, barrier-supporting formulas

✓  Introduce actives slowly and infrequently at first

Things to avoid

❌  Physical scrubs

❌  Multiple new products at once

❌  Strong fragrance

Normal Skin

Generally balanced, comfortable and predictable.

What it looks like

Skin feels comfortable after cleansing, has an even texture, and rarely swings between very oily and very dry.

Common concerns

Helpful everyday habits

✓  Keep a simple, consistent routine

✓  Cleanse, moisturise and use sunscreen daily

✓  Adjust textures with the seasons

✓  Add actives only when there is a reason to

Things to avoid

❌  Overloading the routine

❌  Frequent product switching

❌  Skipping sunscreen on cloudy days
